Mappa della Sicilia tratta dall’ opera Nouvelle Theatre Du Monde stampata ad Amsterdam dal tipografo ed editore olandese Pieter van der Aa. La cornice a decoro intorno la mappa è una caratteristica peculiare di tutte le mappe rappresentate nell’ edizione. Molto bello il cartiglio con lo stemma del Regno di Sicilia utilizzato prima dagli Aragonesi e successivamente dai Borboni.
A destra troviamo Il Vesuvio con il ponte della Maddalena nell’eruzione del 1631.
A sinistra L’Etna con la città di Catania nell’ eruzione del 1669.
